About Tiny Home Kits Australia

About our Tiny Home Kits

We offer a range of beautifully designed, tiny home kits which are suitable for singles, couples and even families with children.

They can also be used for short or long term additional accommodation for family members or even serve as an affordable alternative to an extension on your existing home.

Our DIY kits are easy to assemble and require no special equipment. Kits can be purchased inclusive of a trailer, or if you’d like to assemble your tiny home on a slab, you can simply purchase a kit without a trailer. If you are going to build your kit home on a slab, then development approval is required. Talk to our friendly team who can give you some guidance and insights into this process.

Constructing your Tiny Home Kit

All you need to construct your tiny home are the basics – hammer, saws, spanners, screwdrivers and a power drill. As everything comes from the factory pre-cut, you don’t need any cutting or sizing equipment. Your kit will come with all the required nuts and bolts as well as instructions.

Our tiny homes are designed to spec but custom alterations can be made to suit your needs.

We have a range of tiny home sizes available, with the minimum length being 3600mm and the maximum length being 12000mm. Depending on the specific home design, the base of our trailers will be as close to 750mm off the ground as possible. All home designs are 4.3m in height including the trailer.

Please Note:

The final fit-off stage (appliances, sewage connection, electricity wiring, gas connection, cabinetry and tiles) is what we leave up to you. At the minimum you will need to hire a gas fitter/plumber and an electrician to complete the build – unless you hold one of these qualifications yourself.

Tiny homes built tough

To ensure our flat pack homes can withstand the rigors of travel, no brittle materials are used in our kits.

We use 90mm steel frames as standard which allows for the maximum amount of insulation. Steel frames are also lighter and stronger compared to timber frames. They are easier to assemble as the frame components are always cut fully square and straight. Additionally, steel frames are much easier to stand up during assembly.

The steel wall and ceiling frames can be certified and engineered to a specific high wind/cyclone rating, making our kit homes ideal for those who live in coastal areas.
